The TRITEC TC II+ Optical Fibre Cleaver is designed to provide high precision cleaves on both singlemode and multimode fibre types. Its ergonomic design and single action operation enable rapid and consistent cleaves of less than 0.5°. The TC II+ incorporates a unique mechanism which automatically collects cleaved fibre ends in an integral container. Waste fibre can then be disposed of later into a safe sharps bin, removing the need for sharps to be handled on the installation site. Compact and rugged design makes it ideally suited for use both on site and in the laboratory. The cleaver can be operated in either hand, used on the bench-top or attached to the front of the TRITEC FASEKIT using the optional mounting bracket. Cleaver operation is simple. A single button press is all that is required to complete the cleaving process. The fibre is tensioned between torsion-free clamps, and the diamond blade is then lowered to initiate the mirror quality cleave. The fibre offcut is ejected into the built-in sharps collector as the button is released. |
