TRITEC OPENS NEW LEADING-EDGE R&D FACILITY

TRITEC Developments Ltd, the UK’s leading provider of fusion splicing equipment, has opened its new research and development facility as part of a £250,000 investment programme.

The opening of the new laboratory at Bold Business Centre, St. Helens, is part of a long-term investment programme, providing new equipment and leading-edge R&D facilities for the company. The investment demonstrates TRITEC’s commitment to providing the latest fibre installation equipment to its international client base.

The new high-tech facility will house specialist design work stations and top of the range IT facilities for TRITEC’s design engineers and development team.

TRITEC has already been recognised for its innovative product design, receiving the prestigious Millennium Product Award for its design of the TCII+ Optical Fibre Cleaver in 1998. The company was also successful in the Granada TV ‘Flying Start’ awards, and in 1991 TRITEC was recognised by the DTI Smart Awards.

Established in 1989, TRITEC has experienced considerable growth and currently supplies fusion splicing equipment to a number of high-profile clients on a world-wide basis including the Ministry of Defence, BT and Alcatel Submarine Cables. The company has a network of international distributors covering Europe, Asia, Australaisa and America.
