TRITEC
Developments is set to enter the lucrative Greek fibre-optic market
ahead of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
This follows todays announcement that
G-Systems, one of Greeces largest providers of test and measurement
instruments and systems, has signed a new deal with TRITEC to distribute
its range of fibre optic installation equipment in the country.
Spyros Stivaktas, Sales Manager for Greece
at G-Systems, comments: "The deal comes at a crucial time in
the Greek fibre-optic market, as Athens prepares for the 2004 Olympic
Games. A lot of sports facilities as well as press, information
and residential facilities will be constructed within the next two
years. The majority of communications projects will be pure fibre
based, as demand will be for high speed, high capacity telecoms
and datacomms access.
"The majority of projects will be implemented
by small to medium sized subcontractors, who will need high quality,
reliable and cost-effective fibre installation equipment. This is
why the TRITEC FASE II fusion splicer will be ideal for our marketplace.
Furthermore, it is compact, easy to use and durable and is ideal
in all conditions."
